Age-appropriate learning materials, such as books, puzzles, manipulatives, building blocks, and art supplies. These materials support the development of literacy, numeracy, problem-solving, and creativity.
The learning environment focuses on fostering emergent literacy skills. There is an emphasis on phonemic awareness, letter recognition, vocabulary development, and early reading skills. The classroom will have word walls, literacy centers, and opportunities for storytelling and shared reading.
Encourages curiosity and exploration through hands-on science activities. Children engage in simple experiments, observations, and discussions to foster a love for science and inquiry-based learning.
Regular circle time sessions are conducted, where children gather as a group to engage in activities such as sharing stories, singing songs, participating in group discussions, and learning about calendar concepts, weather, and daily routines.
Teachers provide individualized attention to each child's needs, strengths, and interests. They use a variety of teaching strategies, including small group activities, one-on-one instruction, and differentiated instruction to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
The Pre-K 2 classroom introduces foundational math concepts and numeracy skills. Math manipulatives, counting materials, measurement tools, and sorting activities to support the understanding of numbers, shapes, patterns, and basic math operations.
